Our lives we be forever changed....

We leave in just a few days and I can't help but think about EVERYTHING! How our lives will in a instant be changed forever..I think about how I will have two, yes TWO sets of twins :) They call it artificial twinning when you adopt children that are the same age as your bio children. We are "artificial twinning" twice!! Mukiliza is the same age as Malichi and Nakizza is about the same age as Silas. Two sets of "twins" who would have thought! Not me! (Breath)
I also think about having girls in the house (which I am personally going to love😍) but having girls in the house will change up so many things. We will no longer ONLY play with guns and swords but with dolls and barbies. We (I really mean I) will get to watch girly movies and shows not just super hero everything! The boys will not be able to run around naked anymore. Yes they do this still..yes often! I also will get to do hair, paint nails and hear loud pitched screams!! I know our house will never be the same.....
And we are okay with that!!!!!!!!!

Only a few more days girls...mommy and daddy are coming!!!

Dreaming....

As I wait to bring my girls home... I can’t help but DREAM.
Dream of what it will sound like to have two giggling girls in my house.

Dream of what their talents will be.

Dream of what their passions will be.

Dream of how God will use their testimonies.

Dream of what they will be when they grow up.

Dream of Brandon walking them down the aisle and me helping to get them ready for the big day.

Dream of what it will feel like to tough their soft skin.
Dream of what it will feel like to kiss their sweet faces.
Dream of hearing their voices for the first time.
Dream of holding them tightly in my arms.

Dream of them looking up at me with those big brown eyes and telling me “I love you mommy!”

The list goes on and on…..
I can’t wait for all of these things to become a reality!!
But until then.... I will DREAM!

TWO LITTLE FACES......

God never stops amazing me!! We were told a few months ago that our adoption program had slowed down and that we could be waiting a year or two before we would be matched with a child. We started praying about what to do because with us going into the missions field we didn't know if the timing would work out. In a few years we would still be in Costa Rica in language school and going to Africa to get our child would not be an option. So we were confused and sad..not knowing what to do..

Well God keeps showing me OVER and OVER..lol to not loss faith so quickly....

To our surprise........last Thursday we got the phone call we have been waiting for!!!!!!!!!

They shared with us that we have been matched with not one but TWO beautiful little girls!!!!!! They asked if we would be willing to welcome them both into our home...we of course..said YES!! All the information that could give us were they are sisters. One is 6. The other 6 months. That was it. Phone call over...

I cried the whole day with joy! Every time I thought about them tears would fill my eyes. I have waited (not so patiently.lol) to see their little faces. They told me Monday or Tuesday but no phone call or email. I wanted so badly to see who we would we be calling our daughters.

Well...today we got the phone call..."do you want to see your girls?"
OF COURSE!!
So they sent the email over right away...
I gathered Brandon and all the boys (and my mom.. she had to video the whole thing for us) and we sat around the computer busting with excitement!!

We opened the email..
First we looked at Justine..the baby...
I remember Malichi's reaction the most..he says "WOW..Justine is soooo cute!"
Next we looked at Victoria..
She is soooo precious!!
All I could do is cry and cry!! They are both soooo BEAUTIFUL!!!

Your wondering about the names..no we did not come up with them..these are their birth given names. As of right now, we will not be changing them..

The next steps to bring them home is full of legal stuff and paperwork..please be in prayer that everything moves smoothly and quickly. They are thinking we will be able to go the Africa in Septmeber-October to bring them home!! Pray! Pray! Pray!

Lastly, since we will be welcoming two children into our family instead of one the cost in much more than we expected. Almost double. So please if you want to help us bring the girls home just click on donate on our blog and the funds go directly to bring the girls home!!
Thanks!! Love you all!!

We will try our best to keep you updated as we learn more!

Time to share the....GREAT NEWS!!!!!

We are going to be FULL TIME MISSIONARIES with the Assemblies of God!

Where do I begin!!

Well first off..  a few weeks ago at district counsel  I received my ordination from the Assemblies of God :) Me, an ordained Pastor with all I have done and been though in my life! A moment that I never thought in a million years would come to past!
A sweet moment! Just call me Reverend Pierce :) j/k

Well let me back up a little and explain how we got to this point in our lives....

Brandon and myself knew for years that we would one day be missionaries, we just didn't know the details of when, how, where, etc...So we just continued walking with God and seeing where He leads us. So 3 years ago God called us to Cincinnati, Ohio. While we were praying about the move God showed us that from Cincinnati we would go into the missions field and if we couldn't leave everything and move to Cincinnati how could we be missionaries overseas. We still didn't know the details we just went!

This is a picture of my amazing youth students who I have LOVED serving these last 3 years!

To continue...
Last year I started to plan a missions trip for my youth students. I felt like we needed to go somewhere other than Haiti this next year. So I started researching missionaries and places to go. During my search I had talked with every missionary and thought maybe we could go to one of those countries but I hadn't heard back from one missionary couple in particular. I felt like I needed to talk with them before I made my decision so I waited...(Had I been inpatient I might have missed our call)
Anyways, we heard back from the missionaries and felt like we should plan a youth missions trip with them. So we starts planning...
During this time I started researching the country where we were going and something in my spirit started stirring! I didn't say anything to Brandon because I thought he might think I was crazy lol But little did I know God was working in him too!!! He was feeling that same stirring that this country might just be the place God is calling us!!!!

To make a LONG story short...

Last October 2013 we decided to make the leap to move into full time missions! So since then we have seen God move in such amazing ways while this new adventure is unfolding......we have been approved through the Assemblies of God to be missionaries, I have been ordained, we have sold our house in Ohio, we have been offered a job on staff at CFA while we itinerate (huge blessing), and now we move back to North Carolina the first week of July to start this amazing calling God has for our family!!!

Puzzle Piece Fundraiser!

Every person who donates to our adoption becomes a part of our story; a piece of our puzzle.

Here's how it works:

  • We have selected a puzzle; every piece symbolizing someone who will help bring our baby home.
  • Each piece is a minimum donation of $20
  • You may choose to be one piece of the puzzle or several pieces of the puzzle.
  • YOUR name will be written on the back of each piece you represent!

After the puzzle is completed, we will frame the puzzle between two pieces of glass and hang it in our child's room. This will be a wonderful keepsake to see all the people who helped bring Baby Pierce home!

Will YOU be a part of completing our missing piece to the puzzle?

Here is our puzzle:

Thank you to the people who have already given:
Ruth
Peg
Dixie
Ben
Joy

When it is completed it will look like this on the back for our child to see who all helped to bring her home :) so cool!!

To purchase a piece of the puzzle just click the donate tab to the right of our blog!
Thanks everyone!!

Last night was so much fun!! We had the cake auction for our adoption!!

Thanks to all who made cakes!! Almost 50 people made some AMAZING cakes and desserts for us!
It was so fun to watch everyone fighting over..I mean bidding..lol on the cakes!! It warmed our hearts to see all the people buying cakes to help bring home our baby. It made an impact on Ezra. He was amazed at the love that was being shown for our family. It is so cool to watch his faith grow during this journey!

A big THANK YOU to Aunt Peg & Ruth who put this whole thing together!! Also George Martin and Pastor Dale who were our amazing auctioneer and MC! I even a one of my youth students who spent the whole night serving (SO COOL) ..thanks Trinity and Nadia!!

Let the adventures begin!!

Spring is here!! Everything is new..the flowers..the leaves...the warm air...New can be great!! Our family has lots of new and fresh things going on in our lives right now...

So we I have decided to start a blog!  I thought it would be a great way to share with others our new adventures!! When we share our life's struggles, joys, wisdom, ideas, thoughts, pains..(the list goes on and on...) with others we all become stronger.

So I hope that while sharing our adventures with you all..we all are changed (a little or  a lot) for the better :)

My favorite quote "If God brought you to IT..He WILL bring you through IT.

Whatever "IT" is.. hold on to the promises God has given you. He will guide your path! You might think he is not answering your prayers but I have found HE is just not in our timing but in His. Sometimes the journey is longer than we would like but I believe it just means He is still working on us :) Hold on..He will bring you through "IT"!!

Let the new adventures begin!!!
